(part five)

The personal will or ego, the will that deals with the world, shows from our past experience that we can’t trust the NOW and must make preparations for the future. It is only when we have fulfilled the personal will expressed as desire that we can move on to the divine will expressed as the eternal NOW=GOD.
We must experience everything to be free of everything, that is why we’re here!
To live in the NOW in the constant stream of time is a way of coming to understand the nature of Thelemic Christianity; it is the silence we return to, but TIME=93 will sooner or later demand through events that we respond to her and change; and change is life.
Buddha says it, but in a different way - and it’s wrong.
It is wrong not to express the personal will. True Thelemites express it to the limit, it is only when we cease to desire (because ultimately it’s boring), that we can begin to apprehend Thelema the divine will.
The systems that teach denial are self defeating because they only make what is denied more desirable. It was all very well for Buddha who had it all, got fed up with it, saw the emptiness of it, and went on to discover the divine will. Most of us don’t have it all, so the way of Buddha is not for us.
The way of self denial is always suspect and is usually propounded by people who do not deny themselves, they just think it‘s a great idea that others do because it helps their bank balance so much: but the way of self denial is to deny nature and NATURE is 93.
Thelema is a law that says that only by trying everything can we become free of attachment. It is opposite to Buddhist denial. It is only by indulging our desires that we become free of them. We must try everything that life offers, love, hate, passion, joy, sorrow, despair: the whole nine yards.
The Book of the Law says (I:57), “Love is the Law, Love under Will.”
Humanity lives for love and always has and always will. If we hate something with a passion it is only because that which we hate inhibits something that we love.
We do everything for love’s sake. This is why the original perfection divided himself, herself and itself: it divided for love’s sake. We must do our will - with the one constraint that it is done for love’s sake. In truth we can do no other, there is only one Will in the whole of creation, the Divine Will. We live it, aspire to it, and attempt to define it.
The Will of God is everything we are and everything we do. If we find someone who to us is doing apparent evil and it offends us and we point the finger, just remember that there are three more fingers pointing back at us. We can only see the evil in others that we are afraid of in ourselves.
We are God in manifestation made imperfect so that we can manifest.
There is nothing perfect in creation, if there was then creation would cease immediately. We all manifest the Will of God, we just don’t see it because we are all locked into the perspective of one life. The ‘evil’ we do in life will eventually be experienced by us according to the law of Karma. Karma is not vengeful, it simply adjusts the universal balance.
There are two basic processes at work in nature, the forces of reproduction and the force of creation. Reproduction is allopathic and obvious. Creation is perverse and subtle. The reproductive systems have been pretty well observed and very simply put they work on the general principle A+B=AB and form the foundation of science.
Creation works on a totally different principle. If it is utterly impossible it must happen. It is the formula of unity by denial. The theory is that the universe is such an impossibility that it must be. In the beginning perfection went perversely wrong resulting in the universe and the repercussions have been rumbling on ever since, causing progress to occur not in a linear logical manner but in a collective perverse reaction to the status quo.
Everything is done for love’s sake.
Perfection divided itself for the chance of union.
The chance factor is provided by 93, the formula of Unity by Denial.
93 makes it impossible to predict the future. Scientific laws are all ephemeral, depending entirely upon our position in time and space. The Newtonian. Einsteinian, and Quantum physicists will all strut their stuff in an attempt to explain it all, but as soon as they do 93 will always change the direction of the future and create new obstacles - and the whole merry game moves on.
The whole of nature is designed to protect and sustain one species - homo sapiens. All of natural life must have some beneficial property for mankind otherwise it wouldn't exist. The universe is built to sustain us in ways we are only just beginning to glimpse. The fact that we cannot yet see the benefit to humanity of, say, a poisonous snake is simply our lack of knowledge or the gift it has to bestow has not yet been discovered. The world and all life in it is at the service of humanity put there by an all loving deity. We in our turn should take care of our garden earth as the blessing it truly is.
