EVERY WOMAN IS A STAR In this article we are going to discuss the relevance and importance of the Book of the Law to the female initiate. We will keep to a minimum our examples of E.Q. analysis, preferring to adhere to the Comment’s instruction, ‘‘each for himself.’’ We intend to demonstrate that the Book of the Law was written for women, that the system revealed by the English Qaballa teaches us the mysteries of the Divine Woman which the men of history have striven to keep hidden and forbidden through the ages. The old aeon is over bar the shouting, and it is not our intention to point the finger of blame at men for what was, after all, the sleep of the Great Goddess. There is no grace or guilt in the philosophy of the New Aeon. Now the Goddess is awake, and the subtlety of her awakening can be seen in the dramatic improvements in women’s lifestyles in this century.

There has been a tradition that women can aspire no further than the degree of Magister Templi because they are unable to pronounce properly the word of power. This is not true. Occultism, like everything else, has been permeated with the erroneous superstitions of the male dominated systems of the old aeon. This idea arose from the method used to calculate the Word of an entity. The Word of THE LAW(=59) is THELEMA=93. 59 + 34 = 93: to find the word of any entity simply add 34 (=LEO) to its value. In the case of woman, 46 + 34 = 80. 80 in terms of Al is Nothing. Therefore woman does not speak ‘a word’, she is the embodiment of the Word. The Word of woman is 80 = Nothing = Pisces and Ra Hoor Khut. Therefore the word of a woman is Ra Hoor Khut, or Pisces. The constellation of all possibilities is Pisces = Nothing, which is all possibility. Therefore woman speaks no word but all words because she is the embodiment of The Word. THE WORD=59=YONI, WHEEL. The Yoni does not speak, it creates. Similarly, THE WORD is not spoken, it IS the creation.

The Book of the Law reveals through the English Qaballa the forgotten sources of the old systems, harmonising their fragmented truths which are all that remains of the ancient wisdom of the Temples of Isis. It reveals that the nature of the Supreme Deity and of its creation is feminine in all respects. The role of the Thelemic man is that of a consort, the priest of Thelema is the guard of the temple in which the highest ritual is performed by the priestesses. This ritual is the celebration of the mysteries of creation itself. The blueprint of creation is the complete Tree of Life, called the Two Trees because above the Hebraic tree of manifestation there is another, perfect Tree. This is the solution of Al Ch.2 v.76, a series of 28 numbers and letters which yields the following values:

- which are the Two Trees of Life united and divided by Scorpio. Any number can be added to all the numbers of the complete Tree to discover the expression of that number in all spheres of existence manifest and unmanifest. In this article the number 93 will be used, this number being the means by which manifestation occurs. This system was first published ten years ago in TNE/BJM Vol.6 Pt.1 and has been left largely untouched by the investigations of magickians the world over, yet within it all myths are expounded and explained, and all questions answered.

The creation partakes of the nature of its creator. In Al the creation myth is described in Ch.1 v.28, ‘‘None, breathed the light, faint & faery, of the stars, and two,’’ and later we find ‘‘I am divided for love’s sake, for the chance of union.’’ BREATHED=117=GEMINI, 117 being the value of Kether on the Tree of manifestation. Thus, manifestation begins with the Goddess, divided for love’s sake. The creation process is utterly feminine, with no male intervention. This symbol is resumed in the myth of the Virgin Birth, where the Holy Ghost is traditionally held to be female. Woman, because of her negative polarity, is capable of creation, as well as reproduction. When two priestesses perform the invocation of the Goddess they identify with the One who is divided, and they become as one, and none indeed. This apparent duality is repeatedly resumed in the system of the Two Trees. The unmanifest Kether has the number 97 which is the value of PISCES, in manifestation as we have seen Kether has the value of GEMINI, both ‘double’ Zodiacal signs. In the 93 section which forms the trunk of the complete Tree we find the letters M O R which have the values 21 7(or zero) 12, forming the glyph 21()12. Much could be written about this we must leave it to the reader’s imagination as it is beyond the scope of the present article. We must, however, draw attention to the formula of 93, by which the impossible is rendered not only possible, but acutely necessary. Life on this planet exists and is sustained by virtue of the precise arrangement of our mean distance from the Sun, which is 93 million miles. In human physiology 93 is symbolised by menstruation, when the lining of the womb is sacrificed that there might be life. This much maligned shedding of blood has been shown by E.Q. to correspond with the mysteries of the Crucifixion.

The importance of the above can scarcely be exaggerated, for it shows that the embodiment of the supreme deity responsible for the whole of creation is to be found in woman. Man is but a dream of the Goddess, a God is but the positive expression of Her will. Woman is the great initiator, the giver of THE LAW=59=YONI. In the first words of Al, ‘‘Had! The manifestation of Nuit,’’ the letters H A D have the values 4 1 6, symbolising the snake (SNAKE=54=FOUR) the woman (WOMAN=46=ONE) and the Law (D=6=LAW). Note that 4 is also the first number of Al 2,76. This describes the true Garden of Eden scenario: Eve taught Adam the knowledge of the serpent.

It will be seen from the above that Thelemic magickians have a lot of work to do if they are to be successful. Only by placing all their love and knowledge at the feet of the Goddess, by supporting the priestesses of Thelema in their experience of womanhood, that they may achieve Hadit, the perfected Tree, can men aspire to the initiation and inspiration of the Goddess. Only those fit to be heroes are acceptable to Her. Yet the ladies must not assume that they have it all so easy. On the contrary, the patriarchal indoctrinations run very deep, precisely because the Goddess is all-powerful, capable of dramatically changing the world. The Book of the Law leads us to the altar of Her eternal fires, but it is up to us to keep the flame alight. We repeat the words of another, ‘‘Invoke often! Inflame thy heart with prayer!’’ with utter sincerity, as it is all to easy to forget that every encounter between woman and woman is a celebration of the mystery of unity by denial, or division by affirmation. If this is misunderstood, or denied, then expect the wrath and vengeance of Her most destructive aspect. After all, WAR=16, which means that this is woman’s (1) law (6).

The Goddess is by no means all sweetness and light, and Her ordeals require women to bear the weapons of a warrior and to behave with all the integrity and courage of the Grail knights, for truly the Holy Grail is none other than the emblem of Her continuous love. The Goddess gives ‘‘certainty, not faith’’ and everywhere we look nature confirms and enhances the revelation of Her mysteries. We are opening the doors for future generations of women, that they may come together in harmony and co-operation to fully and freely experience the joy of the Goddess, which is bliss. This is the goal which all esoteric disciplines seek to reproduce for the benefit and spiritual development of the male; we women have got it all and the power to change the world, when we discard the veil of lies and reawaken the awareness and love of the Divine Woman within ourselves and our sisters.
