There are no limits to Liber Al, indeed an infinite number of Books of the Law can be created simply by modifying the whole text by one number; then one would get a whole text that is a commentary on the meaning of that number. The same can be done with the Tree of II:76; in this case it will give the development of that number between Heaven and Earth. The Book of the Law is written and concealed, and since the advent of EQ we know that it is concealed and revealed by number, CONCEALED=106=REVEALED.
To find the concealed meaning of Liber AL we must ignore the text and try and find the most important number. The question then becomes what is the most important number in Liber AL, what is the number upon which the whole text balances, the one number that will illuminate the whole text to give meaning and focus to it.
It is the Book of the Law therefore the most important number must be the value of LAW, the first three letters of the English Qaballistic alphabet.
The value of LAW=6=D but what is it the Law of? The most supreme law is the Law that governs everything. The number 8 is the symbol for infinity made upright, therefore the most significant and active number in Liber AL is 68. The understanding of this number reveals the central secret of Liber AL, it is that which is revealed and concealed, the LAW=6 to Infinity = 8, the one great Law. 68 = LIFE and CHANGE. Liber AL could be called the Book of Life: using this number the meaning of Liber AL opens up. The true astrological meaning of Christianity is revealed, and the real significance of God giving his Son to us and why Christianity is the one true religion.
The Book of the Law exposes the doorways to the Truth. The Truth is not the doorway, we have to pass beyond and experience the reality of the Inner mystery. We all construe the words of Liber AL according to the limitations of our own experiences and knowledge but AL is not and has never been meant to be interpreted. That is for escapists and the delusional. The Book AL has to be contemplated and experienced: it doesn’t need interpretation because it means exactly and precisely what it says, and is, The Book of The Law.
The question arises, whose law? and why?
The law must be infinite law, the law of the universe, and its numbers must indicate LAW and Infinity. LAW=6 and Infinity=8, 68=CHANGE and LIFE, two of the most characteristic phenomena of the universe. The Book of the Law then is the Book of Life and Change and also of Jesus.
It is a mistake to think that the more a name or word is used in AL the more important the influence it has on Man. For example, the more recurrent names HADIT=58 and NUIT=78 indicate the Infinitely small or quantum particle and the Infinitely large or nothingness of Space respectively, they are facts of existence and their interaction with each other are absolutely fundamental to the working of the universe. They do not however govern change or life. They do not delineate the nature and course of LIFE and CHANGE or the Law of Infinity, only Jesus does that. To assess the nature of Life and Change, how they work, we only have JESUS as an entity that will represent the LAW=6 of INFINITY=8.
The name Jesus only appears once in AL and the novice might pass it over with the assumption that it was unimportant, that Jesus must only play a minor role, and indeed without EQ he would. It is EQ that illuminates AL and puts everything in its place or relative importance in accordance with how it interacts with other numbers.
The verses of the Book of the Law seem somewhat disconnected to the conscious mind because the conscious mind hasn’t got the parameters to deal with them. The unconscious with its direct link with the eternal mind comprehends them completely because it deals in symbols. Nobody will ever understand AL, to understand it would be to know the mind of the eternal, but by studying it and becoming familiar with the text and the correspondences of EQ values one is enabled to apprehend another aspect of consciousness that is more efficient than reasoning consciousness. Words which have the same value such as LIFE, CHANGE, BURNS, JESUS = 68 are the crystallisations of a greater reality which must be experienced rather than delineated and is beyond the realm of ideas. These words are like signposts which lead the way to a city; but a signpost will never give one the experience of a city, and upon going there and gaining experience of that city one will never understand its essential nature.
All ideas exist in TIME=93 which is the formula of Unity by Denial, the “division for love’s sake” that is the “creation of the world” (AL I:29-30). Change exists in Time, not Time in Change, so that any ideas will eventually be contradicted by experience.
Time is the prime mover that defines Change and together they are the Zodiac, representing the course of NATURE=93. This is why it is impossible to accurately predict anything or answer the fundamental questions about anything as the fundamental 93 of Nature/Time will contradict the conclusion. As soon as Reason thinks it understands then Time/Nature will change direction. A prediction will only come to fruition if it is forgotten or given no credence whatsoever.
DIVIDE=93 and UNITY=93 indicating that the division of unity is an endless continuity. Both division to unity and unity to division are an endless inexplicable continuity called Time, symbolically as in AL II:76 the trunk of the Tree LGMOR3YX=93 standing as a sentinel between Earth and Heaven.
The primary factors therefore are TIME, CHANGE and LIFE. There are more words that add to 93 and 68 in the Class A’s but I have always found that to start with the ones that represent primary ideas are the best to follow, and understand the rest while never losing sight of the primary idea. For instance COILING=93 and APPAREL=93 – if you can’t transpose symbols in E.Q. you’ve missed the whole point and will never reach its soul. 93 is also the value of SCORPIO, the Zodiac sign occupied by the Sun in autumn when Nature seems to die, and which in the lunar cycle is the sign of the menstrual flux when the womb lining is sacrificed.
