THE EARLIEST THELEMIC TRINITY PART TWO
One of the most important realities in the universe is life. The value of LIFE is 68 which is also the value of CHANGE; in fact, as we have observed, without these conditions of Life and Change there would be no universe.
8 is the symbol of Infinity, and 6 is the value of LAW, therefore 68 is the Law of Infinity, and could be said to be the most important number in Liber AL.
The Law to Infinity, 68, is the one supreme universal law which is LIFE/CHANGE.
How can we discern the nature of 68 and discover the characteristics of LIFE/CHANGE? The first requisite of working with the English Qaballa is to ‘follow the number’ and accordingly we find that in the third chapter of Liber AL the name JESUS has the value 68 by E.Q. We may therefore hypothesise that the life of Jesus and the changes in that life illustrate the course of all life and all change. The Zodiac represents the course that life on earth must take, and the life of Jesus was in perfect accordance with the Zodiac - as it had to be if he was the Son of God, he could live no other way. In Aries, Taurus, and Gemini there is birth and growth, in Cancer, Leo, and Virgo there is the fruition, in Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius there is the apparent betrayal of life (Scorpio is Death, followed by the mysterious three days in Sagittarius), and with Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces life rests in heaven only to return to Earth at Aries.
The life of Jesus follows the signs of the Zodiac, and the signs of the Zodiac follow the life of Jesus, from birth in Aries to ritual betrayal and death in Scorpio
A lesser being like Hercules living through his twelve Zodiacal Labours could only partially perfect it. The more perfectly an individual’s life story can represent the archetypes of change the nearer to divinity he is, and the historical Jesus proved his divinity in this way. He knew he had to die on the Cross, he knew that Judas had to betray him; it was the act of a friend not of a enemy and Jesus blessed him for it because it proved Jesus’ divinity.
Of course CHANGE/LIFE has always been around, without it the universe could not exist, but when the essence of LIFE/CHANGE manifested on Earth through the incarnation of Jesus the whole nature of reality changed, and the Zodiac was completed.
We must get away from the idea that when God speaks it is just words. When God speaks the whole architecture of the universe changes in accordance with the nature of His utterance; and the same is true of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a simple fact of experience that if one worships Christ, and asks with a pure heart for Him to intercede with the Almighty on our behalf then He will: and He always answers our prayers and invocations. Never mind the lesser gods; they simply are, they don’t change, can’t change, they merely illustrate and uphold the law of creation.
Change occurs in accordance with the signs of the ZODIAC = 58 = HADIT and LIBRA the Balance, and was thus the province of Maat Goddess of Justice in the Judgement Hall of Osiris. There is no Jesus in the Judgement Hall, no compassion, therefore before the incarnation of Jesus fate was dealt out implacably.
The Judgement Hall looked for truth through harmony symbolised by the Balance of Libra, (TRUTH=81 whose name later became CHRIST=81), by putting souls in the Balance with the Feather of Maat. It is the law of war and vengeance, black and white, action and reaction. When TRUTH/CHRIST incarnated and gave mankind His Law the function of the Judgement Hall and its blind search for Truth was negated.
Only spirit can exist in equilibrium and SPIRIT=113=I AM JESUS/LIFE itself.
For the first time in history the essence of life and change could be negotiated with directly and that was something entirely new. No longer did one have to worship all the planetary gods and lesser deities, one had only to worship the Son of the one God and he would bring his love and compassion to bear in all matters. It wasn’t long before the Temples to the Pagan Gods fell into decay, leaving only the ever-coming Jesus and the Lady of the Stars, and the God who demanded no sacrifice slowly became enthroned in the hearts of educated and civilised Man.
We didn’t worship Jesus in the beginning because he was cute or told a good story, we worshipped him then and now because he gets the job done. The fact is simply that Jesus can intercede with the Supreme Eternal One on behalf of those who pray to him on all matters. Gifts that once were the province of Venus and Jupiter, Sun and Moon, were now the province of Jesus Christ. This is what the ancients found by practice and experience and we find by number.
We have the Book of the Law and the one supreme universal law is the Law to Infinity 68=JESUS/LIFE/CHANGE.
What of the medium in which Life exists? How is Change made to happen? Who is the mother of Jesus?
Everything occurs within TIME=93, and MOTHER=93 and NATURE=93 and VIRGIN=93.
The mother of life and change is Time.
Time is both Mother and Virgin because although everything exists within the Mother, the Virgin is and always remains totally unaffected. This is why the mother of Jesus had to be VIRGIN, she had to fulfil the supernal requirement. The Mother is the first entity, Who is ever Virgin.
No matter the heaven that fills it, time is not affected by anything; whereas life can be diverted and affected by events.
LIFE=68 but how in the beginning does undifferentiated LIFE become NATURE and exist in TIME=93? Quantum mechanics has shown that everything in creation is a waveform, a disturbance in space. In terms of the English Qaballa the waveform is S=5. The difference between 68 and 93 is 25 or 5x5, the waveform on all planes, Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. The factor that animates 68=LIFE to become 93=NATURE is 25=HAND which, of course, waves!
