The Book of the Law is a text whose psychology, scope, and dynamics are way beyond human imagination. Its parameters exist beyond the confines of reason. In April 1904 the whole space-time-quantum-continuum was revealed to Aleister Crowley, in three of the most significant hours in human history. Those who believe that Aleister Crowley went into the Great Pyramid and performed the Bornless Ritual merely to impress his new wife by evoking sylphs are strictly the uninitiated. There is the magnificence of the Bornless Ritual, the most powerful magickal ritual in existence, deciphered and restored from the Egyptian Book of the Dead; and this one place of power in which those words were to be uttered and that ritual performed, the Great Pyramid, the most magical place in existence. They were the key and the lock that opened the door to the revelation of the greatest text that can exist on earth: L, the Book of the Law. These are facts that the present generation will baulk at. This is not for the present generation; except to those who are chosen to walk with it. It belongs to a future when civilisation will begin, not in the absurdity that is considered to be civilisation today, but to a time of an emancipated transcosmic psychology wherein the spiritual implications of quantum mechanics, physics, astronomy, and psychology, are the tools by which mankind will approach the cosmos and walk among the stars. It will be our Book that they will take with them, it will be our Book that will introduce them to the Queen of the Stars and her entourage and reveal to them the glory the beauty and the magnificence that is the destiny of mankind. Magick stands between Science and Religion; it teaches a scientific approach to religion and a religious approach to science, or physics and metaphysics.

When dealing with L you must get away from the idea that it’s a one way trip: it isn’t. The Book L does not put information in your mind when you read it, it is reading you, it is acting as a matrix between you and - for want of a better word – Heaven(=79), and appears to put ideas into your mind to keep you diverted and amused, while it goes to work on the structure of your mind, altering it and changing it to make it more and more capable of coping with realities that the ordinary mind could not take and remain a viable functional entity. You will be amazed how the numbers and words correspond and give you new ideas about their meaning. The more you work with it the more it will go to work on you to take you to your next step on the spiritual evolutionary ladder. The text of L vanishes and by the use of its qaballa it will lead you through the labyrinth of initiation.

In the commentary it says that its study is forbidden which on one level means that you should not read it and on another level it means that those who do study it have already been determined or for-bidden. Those who discuss the Book are considered centres of pestilence: why? Why must the text and its qaballa be not discussed? Because one of the Book’s functions is to initiate. The Book of the Law is written and concealed. When you work with L and E.Q. it will show you a pathway for you and you alone. Above everything when working with Liber L you must follow the Hermetic axiom: To Know, To Dare, To Will, and To Keep Silent. The more you work with it and keep silent about your findings the more you will be trusted and what you will learn will only be limited by your spiritual dimension as revealed by your natal astrology. The reason why silence is the greatest virtue is that if you speak of your findings you will be taking them from one level or dimension to another and to do that requires energy; and that energy will be taken from you. The two planets available in your astrology from which energy can be made available are Venus and Jupiter, they are the only planets that can actually bestow energy. In other words, to discuss your findings will bring bad luck because of the sacrifice required to take your knowledge from one level to another. For those who discuss the text and its qaballa, the more they learn and the more they discuss their findings the more sacrifices will be demanded, until their domicile will be a place of sacrifice, a cremation ground, a centre of pestilence. Your work will be specific to you and what you learn will concern you and you alone; the more you work with it the more the pressure builds up to reveal the marvels that you are discovering but you must remain silent.  I’m not talking about the early phases that everyone who studies E.Q. and we all share, the simple word values and so on are safe, the price has already been paid by others; but of  the psycho-specific quantum dynamics that are peculiar to the would-be initiate, one who would know more about the real questions of life and is seeking their answers in what used to be called The Mysteries, a knowledge so dangerous and profound that it has the power to destroy worlds, create worlds, and preserve worlds.

If you maintain your silence, a feat that most find impossible as more and more the secrets of creation are revealed, then many ordeals will have to be endured which are really only one ordeal just as there is only one initiation ritual, the crossing from one level of consciousness to another. This is illustrated in many initiation rituals, and always they involve a cross, from the Neophyte ritual of the Golden Dawn to the Masonic rituals, the ordeal of crossing or the Ordeal X; from personality ego centred consciousness based in the catastrophe of life and death to celestial consciousness that has its beginning and focus in Eternity; from life to heaven and back to life again, with no break in consciousness. These are the rewards for the devotees of the true Star and Snake. The more the initiate works with the text and its qaballa the more will be revealed until the limits defined by his natal astrology are reached, and then the choice is his.
